This GlobalEd website is a collaborative expression of the Equipping Community of Practice (ECOP) of Mission Global of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Members of ECOP from Canada and around the world have contributed this content.

Formal

Formal training is the equipping of leaders at the institutional level of universities and colleges, offering diplomas and/or degrees. This kind of training follows a well-defined curriculum and is regulated by accrediting bodies that provide accountability. For this site, formal training is represented by TEACH, representing areas of technology, education, administration, capacity and holistic focus.

Non Formal

Non-formal training is the ongoing training and upskilling of leaders in seminars, courses, and programs that offer certificates often delivered in modules. This training is based on specific learning needs, easily reproducible, and highly practical in nature. You will find examples of existing programs, resources that others have found beneficial and skill training and development for non-formal trainers.
